Our Programs

Provides family support, advocacy support, transition planning, residential planning, financial planning and future planning, info sessions for families and courses for self-advocates. In addition to our current programs we are in the process of expanding our resources to include both a Supported Employment Program as well as a needed Drop in Program.

Supported Independent Living

This service is for people who want to live independently but require some support. There are many ways people can be supported in this program; this will depend on the type of support a person needs and wants. Staff encourage each person to work towards the goals they’ve identified and encourage the person they’re supporting to maintain and build meaningful connections in their life. Individuals supported will be offered a certain number of support hours based on their needs and then collectively work with their staff to coordinate when and how they will use their support hours.

Residential Program

Community Bridges Gimli currently offers 24-hour shift staffed services to four homes throughout the Gimli area. Community Bridges Gimli owns three of these homes.

Day Program

Community Bridges Gimli offers day services at our Day Program for individuals who are seeing more recreational, social, and volunteer opportunities. There is opportunity for health and fitness activities, life skill development, building relations and spending time with others in a fun and meaningful way.

This program is offered Monday to Friday 8:00 am until 4:00 pm.

Pre-Employment Program

Community Bridges Gimli offers an employment skills training program at our Preemployment Program at one of our locations. We offer opportunities for individuals to learn employment related skills that are focused on the goals of the individuals. We create and source employment opportunities through the development of programs at our facility, through contracts and volunteer opportunities. This program is a good choice for individuals who want to work in the community and are working on the skills needed to obtain and maintain employment.

This program is offered Monday to Friday 8:00 am until 4:00 pm.
